Hi all:) It was really the first time that I taught something English today. I was imaging about being a real a teacher until this day, because we have been doing some micro teachings to our classmates and we knew that this is not a real teaching experience. Today again this idea was proved. The class environment is very different. Your plans could be useless or could work very well. You cannot know this before coming to class. The teacher should think on lots of possibilities. There is no certain thing to say about what will happen. For instance, we thought that the students would understand the instructions clearly, but I saw that you should make lots of repetition. I observed lots of things in fact. This is only one of them.
I think that, after you have tasted the enjoyable part of teaching, you can't give up being a teacher :) I have a claim that, in your first experience you can decide on whether you can be a qualified teacher or not,as you feel either as a part of the class,or you can't stand to be there. Namely, first impression leads us to true way in this teaching issue. So, were you able to give a decision about your future carrier after your first teaching task ? :)
On Tuesday, in our practice teaching in Hasan Ali Yücel, we experience our first exam as a teacher. Being in the other side of the classroom, we weren't responsible for dealing with an exam as a student. In fact, it was very enjoyable, but the students were suffering from the exam :) Theexam seemed to be a bit difficult for the students level. I am looking forward to seeing the results:)
